The next stage is Autogenic Relaxation, a classic self-regulatory technique in which you are guided to imagine the sensations of looseness, heaviness and then warmth in your body.

This can be effective right from the beginning and the ability to release stress gets deeper with sustained repetition.

Repeated use can train your body to drop down in deep relaxation quickly and confidently on your own.
